lol i guess it doesnt need hacking but if u think about it people will be hacking like crazy because the ds is so easy to hack with action replay and stuff but i think it might be a bad idea to have a single player mode where wi-fi is not need because u can just hack in single player get really high lvl then turn off the hacks and play online >_>

Dude your grammar game is at an all time LOW.

Anyway, Maple Story DS doesn't look like a bad game. I don't think I would buy it,
but because I have an M3 downloading it will do the job. I kind of got bored of maple story
a while ago, but I still would like to see it on the DS.

There's also gonna be another DS game based on a MMO.

Ankama Games would probably be the last developer you'd expect to be working on a DS project, having released only Flash-based MMORPGs in the past. The French studio's success with Dofus, an addictive, 2D MMORPG that brought in over three million players, however, has afforded the company opportunities for merchandising, a spin-off "arena" game, and a DS supplement for its next PC title, Wakfu (not to be confused with the awful fighting game, Shaq Fu).

While Wakfu DS won't have the MMO features that its PC counterpart boasts, Ankama Games promises to give the handheld title its own identity as an SRPG. If the tactical, single-player adventure turns out to be too lonely for you, there will also be a multiplayer mode that allows you to play with three other local friends. With two different carts planned -- Light and Darkness -- that might be the only way to explore some of the version-exclusive dungeons.

Like Pogo Island, Wakfu DS will come with some creative connectivity, allowing you to transfer rare items that you've acquired in the portable game to your Wakfu MMORPG account. Now that's slick! Check past the post break for the PC game's trailer.

I've played the first Ankama game, Dofus for about 2 years now, and i'm lvl 111. Wakfu doesn't even come out in closed beta until october i think. The DS version is being released somewhere in 2008.

While I don't really like Maple Story on PC (tried it for some days and it's really just grinding a loooot

), I think it would be great to play with a mate like 2 hours every night before going to bed.

BUMPing this up, as Wikipedia (the reliable source that it is) says markets other than S.Korea will be receiving this gem late 2007/early 2008. Any actual proof behind this?

It's not that bad of a game. It's interesting up to a point. But even for an RPG it is quite repetitive and boring. The DS version looks interesting, I might try it out.

Well, you might only be able to try it out in Korean.

Nexon said they're only gonna bring it to the USA if the Korean version sells well.

Apparently the game focuses more on single-player than the original community-based maple story. I don't have the link, but i read it somewhere off kotaku.

i don't get how people don't get bored in the online game. all u do is take a wepon and kill monsers and do some werid quests. the game is werid

I was about to make a thread about his the other day...go figure. Anyway, no matter what ANYONE says, I'm at least gonna try this game.

Also, off-topic(ish), but I heard they are making a Ragnarok DS? Oh lawd, I hope so.
