Hello guys. I have a N3DSXL that was previously broken and now I'm pretty sure I fried since it won't even turn on anymore (the light doesn't come on or anything), so I'm going to pick up a new console and do a manual system transfer following the instructions in this thread:https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-manual-system-transfer-for-saves-content.388033/ Fortunately I had a NAND backup and previously generated Xorpads to decrypt it and was able to extract moveable.sed and everything else necessary from the CTRNAND to copy to the new console.
I just want to be sure that I'm going to go about this the correct way. The thread assumes each 3ds has a separate SD card, but I want to reuse my 128gb card so should I just back up the card contents and format it for setting up the new console? Also, should I get the new console through system setup prior to installing b9s with NTRBoothax and dumping the NAND and Xorpads, or should I not even bother and install b9s when I first power it on? Afterward I'm assuming I just follow each step like in the guide?
Also, the NAND backup I'm using is a few months out of date and ticket.db may not have all of the tickets for all of the titles in my Nintendo 3DS\ID0\ID1\title folder. If I manually install any missing tickets with FBI after copying everything over should all of those games and saves work?
