Game Maker

its not for making games for the DS, but its a free program to make games for the computer.

If anyone does know of programs for making games for the DS though, let me know ^^;

There's really no specific software to 'make your own game'. Creating games requires programming skills and a lot of dedication. You cant just decide one day to make a game and have it done by the next day. It just doesn't happen that way. I'd recommend you go pick up a book on game design or programming and start reading. Oh, and taking a few years of English won't hurt either. tlkng lik dis dsnt' hlp u r cause much

I have no idea what you're talking about in the parenthesis, however.

datz rlly all da advce i g0t, y d0nt u go reed a b00k? (

just poking fun, no harm meant, honest)

The B button is real time save. Select some cheats, and in the middle of the game, you can hit L+R+select+down to disable your selected cheats and L+R+select+up to re-activate them.

There are definitely computer programs to develop homebrew for the DS. But so far they are somewhat limited and are not able to achieve very much.

I can't really remember the names though, sorry. But they are being developed and their updated versions will show up on gbatemp.net I'm sure

The artard's way to making DS Homebrew games.

That looks like some bullshit to me.

Anyway, learn C/C++ first by reading a book or two. Start with programs on the PC until you feel comfortable. Then go get the devkitPro Windows installer and grab devkitARM, libnds, and the nds examples with it. Read through the code of the examples until you know some libnds, and try hacking around in them to get some of your own code running. Once you're at this point, forum.gbadev.org is always available for help. And yes, you can use PAlib, but it is really... bad. It uses lots of cheap hacks and sloppy code that can frustrate you easily.

It is actually quite a bit of bullshit, it's just a front end for development with PAlib. Learning C/C++ console development is much better than the program. That's why I said: "the artard's way of making Homebrew DS games."
