Ah weird mine wasnt a scratch off
Mine also was from Mediamarkt and had no scratch off, very thin paper slips just on the very top when opening the box.
The inner box had broken seals and no MKW branding only the outer sleeve.
I suspect that is a non MKW one that was retrofitted with MKW.

Next nintendo will report another major security vulnerability but this time it come with the game "switch 2 welcome tour" !

In the US there were two SKUs, I ended up with both. I had one from Bestbuy, which had Mario Kart in the design of the box (pictured left) and the other from Walmart that had a sticker on the box (pictured right).

The one with MKW as apart of the design of the box didn't have a code and I just needed to connect to eShop to start the download and the one with the sticker had a code in the box.

I don't believe it was retailer specific either as I heard reports of people getting the sticker variant from Bestbuy as well.

The box I purchased in the EU had the MKW design (no sticker) and there was a code slip inside the box. I don't believe the design and distribution form are correlated.

Because of MKW, I'd guess. If it was a simple sticker it could be easily removed.

Anyway, my pre-ordered Switch 2 came with the seals broken, but I got a partial refund... Well, refunds as I bought two from two different retailers. It was something about faulty batches? I don't get what's faulty about it.

The MKW code in the Switch 2 U.K. boxes didn't need to be scratched to be visible so since mine arrived with the seals cut I was worried someone redeemed it. Thankfully, that did not happen and I then sold it on eBay.

If you stand on your head, close one nostril, wiggle your right pinky toe, and blink three times, your Switch 2 will run…

Normally, but you just had a fun time.
