Gaming M33 runs on TA-088v3

a programmer at dark-alex.org going by the name "xenogears" succesfully made a tool that allows you to boot M33 from within the 5.03 HEN environment allowing you access to the M33 VSH menu, improved homebrew support, plugins, and ISO/CSO loading.

what it doesn't do:
run PSX games.
boot along with your PSP


a small warning though:
this DOES require you to flash some files to your PSP, but this is done as safe as possible.
so far no serious problems where encountered, only 1 unconfirmed case where HEN would no longer boot.
just make sure your PSP stays on during the flashing(only once, and takes about 5-10 seconds)

you can obtain it through the source i posted, and it's a complete package so you don't need to download any additional M33 files(except optional plugins)

EDIT: forgot to mention, this doesn't work on 3000's yet.
most likely because M33 was designed to run on 1000/2000 PSP's, while 3000's have slightly different system files.

actually according to people on the DAX forums, PSX games DO work on this, you just install the POPSLoader plugin.

My psp shuts down when loading this. I flashed the files, but when I press x to run it, i wait the 5 seconds, and the screen goes black, and then shuts off completely.
I'm load it using the HEN R2, and my psp is a slim ta-088v3

I tried with the CFWenabler and it works (I have a PSP-2004 (TA088v3)). I tested with a homebrew (ScummVM) and with an iso.
(It takes a few tries to make the PSP reset (and not just turn off))

you just have to put some popsloader files in the seplugins folder.

yes you need the HEN.
CFWe doesn't have it's own exploit, so it needs to be launched from an already homebrew-enabled environment.

lol, so basically i need an already hacked psp? anwyays it doesnt matter i gave it to one of those guys that are localand you pay about £5-£15 and they hack your psp for you, not sure if it will work out tho...do you reckon they kno this stuff (how to hack my TA-088v3) or will they just return my psp to me and say its unhackable? all opinions are welcome. ill just have to trade it in and get an older psp if it deosnt work out... tho i really wish it does. Wish me luck!

No. The HEN exploit works on ANY PSP, regardless of if its hacked or not.
