Hacking M3 Team: Apology Letter

Does this letter has something to do with iTouch? Latest update was in the end of september and there is no news since this date at all.

Unless the M3 Team felt like throwing their card to the wind like they did their slot-2 cards, I am pretty sure when (if) they update they will update itouch as well.

Well in case you guys didn't get it, gbalpha is a chinese site and therefore celebrates "Chinese New Year", not the traditional one we're all used to! I'm guessing that this letter is going by their New Year which this coming year is Feburary 3rd 2011, not January 1st 2011. I will be very surprised if we get an update before then or even by then judging by their current track record. Anyway, I just though you all should know that Gbalpha's meaning of "New Year" is not the same New Year we're all expecting.

So lemme get this straight, we havent gotten any updates because they went and lost there source code and they were developing something new from scratch or there reverse engineering there old firmwares to try and get there source back...im confused screw google translate. All i know is that update better come soon, YSmenu is one slow ass firmware.

Looks like they gotta rebuild almost everything from scratch. Maybe they will make it open source and not bone everyone with deadend stuff if another system crashes and or when they move onto the 3DS.

The statement was, as I understand it, posted on a Chinese website; it's not actually directed at us.

I personally really don't care what they do. Open sourcing most of thier code would have helped them mend maybe a few issues homebrew people have with them.

The M3 products aren't even a first choice for a flashcart with me anyways. I already have every flashcart made except the clones.

Not much to really do about posts like those...Anyways, I'll probably keep an eye on the M3 team and see if they actually do come out with something spectacular (like that one R4 clone...it does have a pretty neat GUI), otherwise; no real harm done to me, I suppose.

Hopefully this isn't like the situation the R4 team pulled off... "We will release 1.18(?) on x date, we promise." Nothing really happened, just fake firmwares everywhere. I'm glad wood came along, at least R4 cards were salvaged and put back to life again. I don't mean disrespect to the team, but if they're not gonna do any more updates, better just tell the truth and get it open source so that someone else who's willing and passionate about making a new fw can take the reigns. Assuming of course, that there's such a someone out there.

perhaps it is, but i was told from a VERY good source that the m3 team lost their source code. i knew about this a few days ago.
