Hacking M3 Simply... the best?

@Killermech: Honestly, I definetly would pay $5 more for that sticker. If it was a huge difference then I would definetly agree with you but it's only $5 and it's supported by M3 team. If there was only 5 dolar difference between that Adidas shoe and that Hanabalulu shoe, which one would you buy ?

I didn't say anything bad about R4 or the team behind them, I just said they're new and; well, I would honestly trust M3 team more than R4 team which I think makes sense. I never said anything M3 being better or R4 being worse, it's just a matter of trusting a company..

It has been explained to me, from the horses mouth/m3, that they own the R4 brand. They created another brand name for China sales and the M3 name is used throughout the rest of the world. They are clone products but its the other way around, M3 owns the device not r4. Unless you have any other information but I don't know why they would lie to me?

Now stop with all the "M3 > R4 and R4 > M3", because they're the same. The retailers charging more were just trrying to make a few extra dollars. Regardless, it depends on your level of patience. Do you want to wait a day or two for M3's firmware to come up, or do you want it immediately? That's the only difference that will ever be between the cards.

hmm i think there will always be fanboys, just as there will always be football fans or soccer fans. people seem to enjoy to experience vicariously the triumphs of some entity locked in a competition with another. it doesn't matter if they are all humans, but with different jerseys on, sprites with different palette swaps, or flash carts with different stickers. people will always compare things if there is something different to compare.

it's fun to have an opinion and fun to express it.

that being said, i personally love reading fanboy posts, i guess i like trolls too (as long as it doesn't get too too out of hand, even though 'it's just the intarwebz') because of the sometimes eccentric points of view they bring with them, and hotheaded trolls and 'cool, calm' condescending elitists for that matter.

i for one welcome our strongly opinioned fanboys.

Sure M3 is a reputable company, but at the moment, the only thing they're doing is taking the R4 firmware, changing a few bytes of data, repackaging their skin on it and releasing it as their own. I know it's not exactly wrong, but it's just not kosha is it?

When the M3 Real is released, then it's a different story, as that is apparently in-house developed by team M3... but at the moment, they're taking tap water (very good tap water i might say) and slapping a fancy name/logo on it =] I'd rather go with the cheaper option.

fanboys are stupid....I have both R4DS and M3Simply...(wanted to see the difference), realized that R4DS is the same thing....but I still buy M3Simply...reason? I purchase stuff for people.."I" am using R4DS but I buy M3simply for everyone else cause like osmoene mentioned before, its just less support from my part, if R4 does drop its product or something like that, I hope that extra 5 dollar means I don't have to convert them all to M3 ^^;;

Trust me R4DS guys...you are in the same boat as the M3 Simply owners....if R4DS does drop their firmeware, you better hope that the M3 team picks up where they leave off.
