Hacking M3 Mini SD + possible wireless issues?

Hi, I've got a JPN DS Lite, 1gb Mini SD, Datel Media Launcher and an M3 Mini SD. I seem to have a problem with connecting wirelessly with some games. Pictochat works ok, and I can join say a game of Mario 64. However, when I try host a game of say MKDD, people cannot join my game. Does anyone have any possible suggestions as to why this is?
