Hacking M3 DS Simply: Little R in the top right corner?

Hey, I've had my M3 DS Simply since March 2007 now, and I've always wandered what the little R button in the top right corner of the loader does. If you tap it, it changes between the colours Green and Red. I'm guessing it's got something to do with the way the games load.

Can anybody answer my question?

press ABXYLR to go back to the R4 menu.
