Well... This actually is not even OS. It's only music player (which cant play music without converting) and paint with lock without unlock
blink.gif

In top of that there are 30mb SUPER in game maker made program.

i think you dont know that its not easy to make a ds software.
that lock can be removed by pressing select L

it has notepad also and system menu

and the paint watch the first post is still in development

ps. mp3s normally have an to high bitrate to play on DS to play it on a ds you need like 90 other files and a programming code of at least 900 lines to get that working.

be happy that i put the converter in this package or you must search and find your own
and if you look at the projects page i'm still evolving with new apps.

and need suggestions so if your nice you give suggestion not a reply that says this is a bad program.

ps. this is an OS that I made, and you may call it what you like. but keep it for yourself please
I'm sorry I was bit rude. This just seems more like organizer app than OS. Thats not bad thing but I still wouldn't call it OS
wink.gif

Converting music to smaller format is fine but I meant is it nessessary to include 30 times bigger file than the software is in same package. I personally would be happier if I just know which format I have to convert music instead of using windows programs over wine

yes i know i had that request earlier.

i'm working on an automatic app with VB that is very small and if you need the converter then it download it for you

with the instructions in it.

I've tried version 2 on my Phat. It's good, but still needs some more work. I will try vers. 3 tomorrow...

five us some suggestions and we will work on it!
I tried out v3 just now, and here are a few suggestions from a few minutes of use:

1). Speed up loading time... it takes 24 seconds from the time the application starts til it gets to the 'startup' screen.

2). Get rid of the 'starup' screeen, it serves no real purpose (from a user standpoint) and is just an extra click we're forced to make.

3a). Make the brightness icon a lightbulb (just add the 'stem').
3b). Change the sound Icon to something that's not an RSS feed icon.

4). Make the 'Screensaver' -NOT- completely lock your system, allow it to return when pressing a button or tapping the screen.

5). Allow you to exit the music player (It says "L---R to exit" but nothing works)

6). Since the keyboard is always active in the text editor (when it's hidden, you can tap on the screen to type), have the keyboard always show.

7). Option to save the text, not just auto-saving it.

8). Graphic corruption occurs when typing on the bottom left and right corners of the hidden keyboard.

Scratch that... It just auto-creates a 'yourtext.txt' file.

i have done for v4 now:

Fixed screen saver and updated the code so it only goes to the screen saver when there is no action in 1 minute

New backgrounds for screen saver

i checked the media player There is no problem it just freezes when it cannot open the music folder and you touch the screen

reduced startup time from 28 sec to 9 sec

removed portal page after loading straight to menu
