Any difference? Any preference? I've got LumaUpdater right now, any reason to switch?
IMO starupdater is better, but that's just my opinion
Wasn't StarUpdater created by Hamcha?
it was created by @astronautlevel IIRC https://github.com/astronautlevel2/StarUpdater
Oops, I mean LumaUpdater, silly me.
Um Lumaupdater b/c memories of Super Mario Galaxy! But, in all seriousness StarUpdater b/c it can update itself (oh LumaUpdater too. Edit again: it does not lol), restore arm.bin backups, choose where to install it, and dev or regular.
LumaUpdater after updating has to reboot, StarUpdater does not.
LumaUpdater shows the changelog of the official version on the bottom screen, StarUpdater does not.
LumaUpdater has a better banner (3D) IMO, StarUpdater has a 2D banner
Both can install dev/regular stable/hourly version and backup previous arm9haxloader
Only differences I found plus those above
@Ramzh you're mostly correct, except for:
Yes it does.
Apparently I'm dumb, see below.
Weird when I update with it I just press start to go back to Home Menu ?_?
>tfw I implemented it into my build but never actually put it up on github
Oh got it.
@cbxero So end of the day the differences are minimal and it's up to the user to decide which one to pick
(PS: as said previously StarUpdater has the update option for itself)
Very helpful everyone, thanks.
