How is this achieved please? Thanks
Obtained the 3DSX file from the latest (v2.5) release zip archive and then used a hex editor to modify the 'location' string mentioned in the file contents so that it instead says 'Location' (single byte change). I did try CIA, but that did not show the 'raw' strings. Really, just needed something quick to test with. I would prefer using a version that is compiled without manual modification, anywho.

Note: while I do expect everything to work perfectly fine (as one byte was replaced rather than adding or removing data [changing the length]), I had only tested if the application was able to get the release information. The writing to system memory and so forth was not something I risked checking as it was simply to test a fix.

While we are on the subject, I think it might be best to meanwhile use v2.4 if you want something compiled. The only real change to v2.5 was the 'fix' back then to this very issue.. which made 'location' lowercase.. and eventually itself became the issue it once resolved.

Luma3DS Update v2.6 *fixed*

The Update/Fix is now available.:)

v2.6
KunoichiZ released this 12 hours ago

The following changes have been made:

Thank you very much to inform us.:)

Anyone else having an issue where it's stuck on "fetching" hourly builds? It just hangs there forever. I updated Updater manually but I ended up having to update Luma manually as well since the updater isn't working which sorta defeats the entire purpose.

Since this Update Fix,the Updater / Update / Info fetching should work.:(

Can you tell us your Luma Version and the shown Luma Updater Version please ?

Thank you.:)

I just updated the updater. all is working, but I'm using the luma version for bootntr on my sd card and the regular luma 10.2.1 on ctrnand. I updated them both ages ago without the updater, because then it wasn't working. it's nice to see that it was updated though. :)

Certainly, I'm on the latest revisions of everything since I had to go to GitHub to update everything manually. Luma is 10.2.1, updater is 2.6. Maybe it's just a connection issue although all my other network functions such as QR FBI installs and FTP work just fine. I'll try running updater again tomorrow just to see if it's still hanging.

Not having the occasion to update Luma since last year (no stable internet since 10.2), I've runned the last Updater version and agreed to fetch Luma11. Turns out there's always an integrity 2nd checking error because of a mismatch between my downloaded file and the server's one.
Would a manual file copy prevent this?

edit: having updated manually to 11.0 (placing the github files on the SD myself), the LumaUpdater doesn't seem to recognize the version (referenced as %d.%d) and still offers me to get the newest one.

@BaamAlex Prevent having a file with bad checking.

@Pk11 Thanks!

Luma updater isn't getting updated anymore, it's now recommended to use Universal-Updater to update Luma. Just look/search for Luma3DS.

I have been trying to update a couple of consoles using Luma Updater v2.5 but I’m getting the update failed ded92 error code on both of them. The N3DS has v10.2.1 and the 3DS has v10.3 Does anybody know if there is a fix for this without pulling out as cards and moving files or if it would just be safe to install the current official updates with these versions? Thanks!
