Hacking Luma 3ds updater error

Hello, I recently installed CFW to my 2dsxl. When I ran the luma updater I received an error. Is this because of the GitHub situation? I have attached the error note from the sd card. Thanks again for all of your help!

Most likely yes but if installed luma recently then I would assume you are on luma 9.0. Besides, the luma updater would only do official updates. If you need to get 9.0 and the update fails then manually grab it from github

9.0 is the latest. If you just recently installed CFW, then you have nothing to worry about.

To check what Luma version you're on, simply hold Select while turning on your 3DS. At the top it says Luma #.# Configuration, and you can just look at the numbers to check your current version.
