this is getting plain ridiculous. Im waiting for when they try to hack Blizzard, and Blizz's security system not only fries their computers, but also spawns a gun from the CD/DVD Drive and shoots them in the face. Because Blizz has the money and the resources to do it

They're pretty hilarious, but DDoS attacks are really beneath them. Come on, guys, do something moar awesome.

great i hope this does not affect downloads on the i mean like roms and shit... or i'm going go on there twitter and post rasict messasges LOL.

See...I find it amusing that they're doing it...but all the government is going to do about this is use it against ALL of us.

Yeah they have balls, but who actually gives a fuck?
You should.
They're giving politicians excuses to destroy my rights on my Internet.
They'll cause the end of the Internet if they keep pooping on everyone's heads like this.
I hope they get caught and hung from the necks until they are dead.
Not "who gives a fuck about them hacking people". Rather "who gives a fuck about how big they think of themselves"?

What are these guys trying to prove?
Nothing is unhackable? Old news.
We're just so l33t with our hacking skillz. Yeah, okay.

To me, all these guys are doing is screaming for attention going "look at us and what we can do!"

Sounds very similar to what anonymous did.

Not really...they're not really doing it for attention...they're doing it literally because they can. "For the lulz". That's their only real reason...is that so hard to understand?

What they're doing isn't really right, but the thing where they DDOSed call centres by redirecting they're phone number and spreading it on the internet to let people call them.. They even redirected it to the FBI! xD That IS funny! DDOSing servers of important things.. No, not really.

Don't get all excited, if they can hack an FBI and now a CIA site, Blizzard is as simple. Just because they are a rich company doesn't mean they have security more than FBI/CIA.

This is precisely the sort of action that will finally get the internet censored / firewalled / closely monitored in the US.

Thanks so much.

You read my mind exactly. I don't think LulzSec gives two shits, though...

I'm pretty sure they live in the UK so it wouldn't directly affect them.

yeah i think UK to

there always asleep same around the same time

these guys atleast met a decent match. i am surprised this news is not as wide spread as should be on television channels (at least not here). fearless? failoverflow hacked or demonstrated a hack that allowed a mobile device to hack into the network of a nearby company just to cause revisions and not lulz. this is no benefit... its like porn

nothing to see here, move along.

are you guys really going to create a new thread every time they DDoS someone? I seriously hope you guys don't do this

I wouldn't do such a thing. The only things I would get from this are imprisonment and respect. If you are so good in this stuff, go white!

Making angry dog even more angry to solve his anger problem?

Honestly, I think most people are missing the point here:
Total ignorance of security issues by large companies/institutions. That is thousand times more scary than any hacking attack/internet censorship or other silly issues.

I totally agree. If anything, I hope this is a wake up call for companies who have sensitive data on their website. Even though what Lulzsec is doing is wrong, I hope that this pushes companies to invest more time and money into security.

DDoS

Wait a second can't the CIA just track where the origin is and force the ISP to cut off the culprit's net then send their agents to get them.

The D stands for distributed, meaning that there are quite a few systems running the attack. and the likelihood is that most of them are part of botnets, as a result of being infected with malware.
The only legal thing the CIA can do is to get a good firewall and start filtering out SYN requests.
