C4Eva's latest anticipated firmware has just been released
before flashing you need to know the following :

1- to flash your drive it's recommended to use the new JungleFlasher (coming soon)
2- to play XGD3 backups you need topology data (expected to be released soon)
3- make sure to read the release notes below

    LT+ 3.0 : n/a (might be illegal under DMCA/EUCD)
    New XBC: http://www.mediafire...q9zaa9zztb3lbnp

    Release Notes:
    Code:

C4E’s iXtreme LT+ in association with Team Jungle & Team Xecuter
    ----------------------------------------------------------------

Official release of the iXtreme LT+ v3.0 for Benq and phat Liteons

    - Support for topology data on AP25 enabled titles. Will correctly answer any ap25 challenge eliminating need for dae.bin to create a backup.

    - No need to make new backups everytime dae.bin is updated on console

    Topology Data
    -------------

When ap25 was first introduced I devised a way of calculating any challenge which I called the silver bullet which I made reference to a long time ago.
This was withheld until it was absolutely necessary. It was easier to replay the fixed challenges.

With unique per console ap25 challenges it has become necessary to use the silver bullet.

A series of measurements are taken across the disk. This topology data is then used to calculate a response to any ap25 challenge.

It is very important that the drive used to create the topology data is reliable at reading discs as bad topology data equals bad ap25 responses.

Liteon drives using 0800 v3 seem to be more accurate for this purpose. Only ap25 enabled titles require topology data. Activation of ap25 on older non-ap25 games although technically possible is highly unlikely.

Currently topology data for xgd3 titles are similar and topology data from one xgd3 title will pass on another xgd3 title although this is not advisable.

Per title title topology data is best as there are slight differences between titles and newer titles could have different topology than existing ones.

I would like to wish everyone a merry xmas and a happy new year. I look forward to the challenges ahead.

Thanks go to Team Jungle for their hard work and efforts in the development process.
Thanks also go to Team Xecuter for their support to this project.

Update : Topology data for some earlier releases have been released

    Update 2 : JungleFlasher v0.1.91 (300) has been released to support LT+ 3.0, d/l : http://bit.ly/uW1KF4

Doesn't the topology data usually get added by ABGX?

It should but as I understand it ABGX360 is still being updated for these new developments so you will have to go manual for the time being.

Anyhow looks like I might have a compelling reason to shift from 1.6NS to this.

I'd rather wait for ABGX to be updated to handle the patching for me.
    Dang laziness ;/

Im confused about this dae.bin and 3.0. I have a jtag and just backup my originals into the 360. I decided to get the same game i own without any topology data included on dvd+r dl and my 360 still reads the game fine. Is it because i havent connected to the net and the dae.bin isnt updated? If microsoft updated the dae.bin through a newer game, would it then make my game unreadable? Im not worried, just like messing around with firmware/backups, etc.

Dashlaunch (not sure if it made mainline freeboot) bypasses AP2.5 and has since the start of it (well the dashlaunch update that sorted it at least).

What happened though was originally AP2.5 got added in to the dash and every update (give or take a couple) MS changed these checks using a file called dae.bin (some people managed to pull relevant data from these but that was not the preferred method) until very recently where MS switched things up again and silently updated it to a new version unique to every console (meaning to continue on as before people would have to extract their own data and it would be a nightmare). In response to this the custom firmware crews released their hidden weapon to bypass it for good (they were supposedly holding it back for just this sort of occasion).

In short 3.0 and this topology data should put AP2.5 to bed once and for all- consider it the ultimate version of the patches you had to apply to discs to reburn with each update. If you have a JTAG or glitch machine (or in some (most?) cases one of those optical drive emulators) then you can for the most part ignore this unless you drag games to other machines not using such abilities.

    Edit: On a related note

    Call.of.Duty.Modern.Warfare.3.LT.3.0.Topology.Data.Patch.XBOX360-COMPLEX

Also Battlefield.3.LT.3.0.Topology.Data.Patch.DiRFiX.XBOX360-COMPLEX (just a dirfix- if you already had it then there is nothing to say it might not be good).

Not to mention NFO for the RROD stuff

Although you can patch our releases with the .bin files that were
released, we thought we'd also provide a pack of AP2.5 Topology Data
PPF patches that can be quickly applied directly to the original ISOs
of all our XGD3 releases to date for you to use with the new iXtreme
    LT+ v3.0.

Apply the .ppf patches with the included ppf-o-matic3 to the original
    release ISO. Burn and enjoy!

oh so you think the reason my backup is running is because of dash launch 2.27 or because i didnt connect to the net and dont have an updated dae.bin? I just keep reading everywhere that some players backups dont run at all on 3.0.

My console is iXtreme 1.6 (before LT stff) and I don't get online and my console didn't get that infamous update that causes something bad (so people were forced to title update and stuff), so can I get a LT+2 patched like Skyrim and play it or it has to patched for LT+3 ?

What .bin files are those? I never heard of any pre-LT+ 3.0 patches for XGD3/AP2.5 games.

It is well known that Seacrest(abgx360 author) is so slow at releasing his program that people on the support channel make jokes about it, it is most likely because of thorough testing and high standards controls because he seems to have plenty of free time for chatting.

@lithium210 afraid I have not really followed this development as closely as I usually would but anything working I would lay directly at dashlaunch's door. JTAG consoles should not touch the official online stuff anyway.

@test84 good to see you around. You have missed much of the fun it would seem to mini wall of text (well probably not by my standards).
I assume you know about AP2.5 and nothing has changed at the heart of it other than if you stick with the LT 2.0 method of AP2.5 then you have to update the game to a version unique to your console (hence LT+3.0 and this topology stuff) and MS may update your console silently (well if it is online) at any time to change that again. As far as I am aware it is still the usual 6 games plus all XGD3 titles.
As just mentioned MS released a dash update to reflash the DVD firmware, this was officially done to support XGD3 (a new format of disc with a bit more space- beyond the official capacity of a standard burnable dual layer but that was dodged with a bit of effort) but it also meant a new hacked firmware needed to be made. You will need to get your keys, reflash to stock, update and then flash a new hacked firmware for it to work properly.
XDG3 titles appeared just in time for the big Autumn releases (Driver 3 and several from then on) and around the same time we saw a new wave of disc (wave in the normal sense of the word as far as things 360 go) that carried the dash update that reflashed drives (the scene release of Deus Ex just managed to dodge it although there was a version that had the update floating around according to ABGX360).
We then got a new firmware to support XGD3 backups although the initial method to burn them cut the isos off (aka truncated them) but that did not end that well (MS caught on and changed it up) so now for XGD3 games (most big new titles- all the other new ones carry the dashboard update that reflashes drives) we have to use a specially hacked burner (fairly cheap/common and easy to get your hands on and quite high quality drives to boot).
After this we have this firmware that should eliminate AP2.5 for good but ABGX360 has not been updated yet so people will have to patch the AP2.5 laden titles by manually (nothing major or indeed all that different if you have ever applied a DS rom hack).

Also if you are that far out of the loop I should also mention now we have the glitch attack/hack aka RGH that for all intents and purposes can turn just about all consoles (some of the pre HDMI and newest of new slims are tricky) into ones with all the abilities of a JTAG machine. Naturally they are offline only but hey.

Just to mention it so you know before jumping up- all LT drives require splitvid (and all games since just before LT was released should have it). It has been around for ages and is easy to add to an ISO but it became mandatory with LT so you may have to reburn some earlier games.

I think that more or less covers it.

Hey FAST, miss your old avatar!

Thanks for the thorough explanation, that's exactly what one would expect from you!

So would you please answer my original question as well:

First of all since I don't have a desktop machine, I have to take my console to some shop to do it for me so don't bother with the details.
Second of all, my console is banned like a year ago and thus it's DAE.bin is not update (if I'm right with the terminology) and my only concern is playing offline and since I don't downlaod my games and buy the copies (it's how things work here!) I wanted to know if I update to LT+3 (I know LT+2 can play all games that I want to play but since update my console costs like 20$, I'm trying to be future-proof and sicne newer games would need LT+3, I want to know if I can play games before LT+3 like Skyrim and Dark Souls with it) would let me play pre-LT+3 games and if they need to have patched for LT+3 ( so I would know to ask for LT+3 ready games).

    Thanks.

Yeah I seem to have lost my link to it (it was hosted somewhere else on the site rather than my image section) when the site upgrade hit and the bots (and guests) do not seem to crawl avatars. I could probably find it but I was watching spaceballs that day.

Anyhow- I can not speak to games off the street as I have seen things that would rival anybody around here on their best day to "I would have to think very hard to screw it up that badly" all coming from your back yard. As far as I can say (MS could theoretically change it up again) LT 3.0 copies are futureproof but if indeed LT2.0 capable copies do work (a fairly big if) with the console then expect them to stop working at the next update (I doubt MS care enough to do a silent dae update via disc but I would not be surprised if they did).
Short version- even if it is annoying go for LT3.0 and all discs burned to spec for it.

Now I'm really itching ABGX could get updated to verify XGD3 games, and take on this topo disc data. Hellooo no more reburns~ I can get behind that.

Still though, will this affect anything regarding what all we might do for playing BC-able Xbox 1 games? Speaking of, what all *do* we have to do for an Xbox 1 ISO so it'd be recognized and playable (obviously without flagging) on a 360 running LT+ ?

    Xbox 1 backups aren't supported on LT+

It's much better to get a old Xbox anyway since you can softmod it and usually TSOP flash it and install a bigger HDD.
No more need for burning Xbox 1 backups to disc and running them on your 360, stressing your laser in the process.
