Hacking LOZ: Wind Waker: Map crash fix?

I looked all around the internet for a way to fix it but people said that there's a patch. But it's for Swiss and I use NeoGamma.

Here's the question: Do I need to use the patch if I have NeoGamma? I read that it fixes it itself.

I'm pretty sure it works fine in the latest version of Neogamma without patches, since I was just playing it.

I played the whole game through swiss without using the dungeon map. that was pretty intense at the time

So I must have gotten something wrong.

Also, Wind Waker seems to be burned on the disk I was using. Do I need a fresh BC to fix that or something?
