Edit: I'm looking for software that has become lost media: https://github.com/torgeiru/nintendo_adhoc_relay/

I want to trade and battle Pokemon with my brother, but he refuses to pay for NSO

I remembered getting my Eon ticket in Pokemon Alpha Sapphire years ago via a streetpass relay running on my laptop, so I'm wondering if something similar exists for Switch wireless play.

For whatever reason Xlink Kai only supports adhoc for hacked Switches.

Seems difficult to get it working, even if all needed programs exist. You need linux to get low enough level access to the wifi card, and if you want more than 2 player you probably need a wifi card for every player that isn't physically there, plus another if that is how you want to connect to the internet. Something like this would probably be a good start, but you at minimum need to forward the packets. Assuming the deleted repo you found was working it probably has similar limitations.
