Hi, I have a 2ds xl with a 64gb sd and I read around that to make it go faster you have to format the sd specifically with gui format, I backed up all the files in the sd, formatted with gui format and put all the files back but now all the homebrews and the installed theme have disappeared, even the virtual console games, how could I get them back? The sd is not empty.

If it's not formatted with a tool like GUI format, then the full capacity is not usable in the 3DS at all.

Larger cards might be faster if they are formatted with 32k or 64k clusters, but that shouldn't make much of a difference on a 64 GB card.

Did you insert the card in your 3DS before putting the files back? Because that would create a new "ID1" folder on the card.

In that case the most straightforward solution would be to format the card again and copy everything back again while the card is completely empty.

I don't know, out of desperation I reinstalled everything, but I noticed that strangely the backup was too small to be a backup with games inside so I deduced that the backup was missing somehow
