I see there's another user on this page looking into the same thing, slightly different use cases though.
I've never played a Pokemon title and am looking to fix that. I am limited to a mobile windows device with a Z8350 processor and 2gb of RAM though, so emulating a DS game or greater is not possible for now I don't think, unless DS emulators have come a surprisingly long way since last I checked. So considering I'm probably limited to GBA or below, I should start with Leaf Green right? Nothing extra vs Fire Red right? Why don't they just remake the Yellow/Emerald versions, very frustrating
Is there a way to combat the GBA sound-chip issues (that hiss) in any GBA emulators? Are there audio/orchestral mods for these games? I hope to have 3DS hardware by the time I finish Leaf Green. If I continue the trend of playing the remake, which version is closest to Emerald, Alpha or Omega? After Leaf/Fire, Heart/Silver, and Alpha/Omega, where would people suggest I go from there? Are there tools that will allow me to bring Pokemon from an emulated title to another one, even across platforms, for example from a Windows emulator to a CFW 3DS?
Thanks in Advance.
