Hacking looking to replace the "screen protector" part of the bottom

Is this possible? There's a scratch on the "built-in screen protector" that's attatched to the bottom half of the DS-lite and it's pissing me off. (hopefully you guys know what i'm talking about. not the actual screen that's inside the case and attached to the motherboard, but the clear plastic above it that's attatched to the case.)

Is this glued on the inside? How can i just replace that piece?
 
I dont think you can take of a "built-in" screen protector..

if you don't mind could you post pics/video of you replacing it? just want to make sure what i'm doing before i go ahead and open up my DS.
