I'm really new at all of this, so please bear with me if some of what I say seems stupid

I currently have a Supercard DS One. I remember reading that it could be used as a Passkey for slot-2 cards as well. I figure I might as well not let that extra slot-2 space go to waste, so I ordered an extra microSD card with the intention of buying a slot-2 card as well. From what I have read, most of the latest slot-2 solutions are much better than their slot-1 counterparts, but there are a few things I was looking for specifically from a slot-2 card and thought I would ask the gbatemp community what would be the best card for what I am looking for. Here's what I'd like:

Able to play GBA and NDS games
Support for homebrew apps
Support for Opera Browser
Download play (optional)

Any help is greatly appreciated

Well the EZ4 Deluxe could be for you, it has a very nice price and It can do all the things you are mentioning, you could cut even more money by getting the EZ4 Compact it runs just NDS games but ive heard you can play some GBA games on it, *( think someone said only small GBA games or something, someone verify?).

I bought my EZ4 Deluxe package with EZPASS for 50.00 at winsunx.com great deal, works great, very compatible.

It's even cheaper now at winsunx for the Deluxe package. $45, and if you sign up for an account you can get 5% off that. Shipping to North America is $18.81 though, so keep that in mind. Still, from the other sites I've checked, it is still the cheapest despite high shipping fees.

Thanks for the info! The reviews for this card do look good. Does anyone know if the Supercard DS One will work as a Passkey for the EZ4 Deluxe?

Question: why does the M3 Lite (GBA-support-enabled version) cost nearly twice as much as the EZ4 Deluxe? Don't they both have pretty much the same features?

The cheapest site for EZ4 Lite Deluxe is:

http://www.ezflash3.com/

You get for 67 Euro

EZ4 Lite Deluxe (white or black)
512MB Transcend MicroSD
Free Shipping in Europe with DHL Express

only problem so far:
that onlineshop is a bit strange, it dont let you order anything
if you are not from spain, but it clearly says on the other side, it ships to whole europe.
still waiting for an answer from the support team

I've ordered my EZ4 Lite deluxe on bamboogaming.com ( many times without any problem ).
Shipping from HK to europe takes apo. 9 days.
Prices are very low, but the postage is a little bit high.

The only "problem" is that the "outside packaging" will not shipped.

I would reccomend Bamboogaming too. The only problem is that you won't get the software CD, or even a box. I recieved my EZF4 in an envelope.

RTC means Real Time Clock, meaning it has a clock built in, so that games could keep track of the actual time. Pokemon, for example, kept track of time, and the game conditions would change according to the times of day. Only some Pokemon versions and the Boktai series use RTC.

The GBA Movie Player is a GBA cartrige allowing you to watch movies on the GBA. The movies have to be converted to the proprietary gbm/gbs format. M3 products with GBA support also have this feature built in.

However, since the M3 Lite is mainly used in the DS, it's better to use Mooshell and watch DPG movies.

Though because you are really new I WOULD GO FOR THE G6 LITE. Very , the best for GBA (m3 lite is probaly the same), easy software, plays all games but has limited space. Its a very high quality starting unit. You wouldnt have to worry about getting a good sd card or sd reader.

The limited space is not that much of a problem as you can store lots of stuff...

ALSO NO PATCHING

HOMEBREW IS GOOD BUT BETTER ON A SUPERCARD

Yeah go for the G6 LITE or the M3 LITE

yes it DOES at times and it is quite badly at time but the supercard is excellent for NDS and homebrew (I think its the best for homebrew)

i'd go for an m3 lite

it got very good nds support

and almost perfect gba support (it even got a realtime clock for pokemon games)

Problem is with M3 and G6 is, they both have a poor GBA menu interface.
You control some mouse cursor with the dpad, no touch screen support...

That turned me really off from these two cards.
And of course the price tag compared to ez4 lite.

And the skinning options for ez4 menu interface are much better then m3/g6

And another big point for ez4 is that awesome community:

edit again: wait this is the right thread.... god Im an idiot...
