Does anyone here know of any site that would be useful in tracking down what stores near me have switch in stock and could give of a notification when they are. I know I'm not alone here that many have been unable to find them in stock anywhere but from the scalpers on ebay.

even if it is out of stock, you can preorder, that's the best option you've got

AFAIK there is no such site. If there were a lot of people would have most likely posted about it by now. When I went to talk with a few stores on the look for my switch, they told me that they expected to be sold out of switches within the hour of their shipments. Loads of people are still looking for some, so the real question is are you willing to take a day off and stand in line. My choice would be to call every store when they opened and ask if they are getting their next shipment that day/week. If they say yes, and you really want a switch, you will stand in line.

Yeah you would think. If it is weeks/months out they won't know. They get shipments everyday so it could even be a surprise

Are they really that difficult to get hold off still? I would of thought now stock of the Switch would be flowing through quite nicely on a few websites especially Amazon.co.uk.

At a retail price yes. They are overpriced online its like buying a another PS4. I'd wait till the Holidays tbh, but eh whose gonna wait that long?

Seriously, is it sold out in USA?
Here in Italy it's available almost everywhere, Amazon.it can deliver it on the next day too (both colors).

back to my post before hand, unless I'm not seeing the 299.99 listings amazon has it online for 100 dollars more and walmart 200 dollars more, I only have enough money for the switch and 1 game, either botw or mk8d

Edit: apparently sold out now. I was like 15 min late telling you because i didnt notice. But if you would have signed up for the alert, you wouldve caught it. Last time it was in stock on amazon was APR 27, and thats when i bought it. So maybe they will have it again in the next few weeks. So sign up for those google alerts and jhst be patient I guess. Sorry I couldn't inform you sooner.

I dont think you'll ever find one for $300 on the net simply b/c it just got released and sellers are taking advantages of the demands for them.
Only local stores have them at that price. This is the reason why even I still dont own a Switch

unfortunately I only have just enough for the switch and one full priced game

Seriously ? IF we know where to get them that have an available Switch then we would or wouldn't tell you. Be patient, Nintendo is going to have more soon. It is not like NES CLASSIC EDITION/MINI because it is limited only. Nintendo Switch is not limited only. Give it time.
