So what about real time cheat, save states or slow down? What about anti-piracy patches or dsi patches?

Wood R4 does not support game slowdown. I had to check because I know the M3 Real used to support game slowdown.

What? Is a little white cart labeled "NEWW R4 SDHC DUAL CORE SMART UPDATE" With the website www.r4isdhc.com on it. It doesn't have 3DS RTS.

Oh. I dislike r4isdhc.com . they often include a timebomb with their carts. The R4i-SDHC carts are from r4i-sdhc.com.

R4i Gold 3DS RTS is awesome. I've had mine for over a year now and its still working great! Has support for literally every game, DS Homebrew support, built in cheats with pre-loaded codes for almost every game, and working save states. Only very small downside is the card can only display so many ROMs at once, but that was easily fixed by dividing them into folders.

Oh, so just like SD cards, the acekard 2i and ace 3ds i have? My r4 flashcart still works, but only on specific firmware. I can use it since i have luma installed, (If i can just find a flashcart on sale) But still i just dislike the idea of stuff like this being so limited in is usability, somehow when psp came out and they had those memory sticks, 10 years later still working with no problem. But not SD cards, and now flash carts which can't even be used without sd cards have same kinds of problems?

To be honest, i know the psvita cards are expensive and suck being priority encrypted products only by sony, but least it never gave me the idea that it would suddenly stop working yet.

So is this R4i RTS 3DS really that reliable? I already bought 4 different brands of flashcarts, and i hoped that each one would be the last and not get to total of 100$

Its not the sd card, its the flashcarts firmware. Some developers or cloners intentionally include code that makes it stop working after so long. At that point you either need a new cart, or to download the latest firmware for the cart from the devcs website. The latter is fine for a while, but if the company ever shuts down, they stop releasing firmware for it and at that point they stop working. I don't know which carts use systems like this, but I've heard complaints from many people about it.

Nope, not like that. The firmware checks the date, and if it passes a certain date it stops working and you either have to update the firmware if available, or buy a new one. Or, change the date back and it'll work.
Why do you think r4isdhc.com brands their carts yearly? x.x

Why not just get the DSTT? They're like $8 and will play your games fine.

Because DSTT company shut itself down long ago.
And the current DSTT you would find is naked cards, no packaging, no instruction paper.
So, I stop suggesting it ro people although I'm the one using it. Just add another $10 for a better up-to-date product.

I wouldn't know anything about this. Is not like i expected something like this from a flashcart provider. I just wanted a flash cart, one year acekards were popular, then r4 cards then ace 3ds, i didn't know much about buying one, i just used the sites ranking systsem and description info.

From my understanding there was supposed to be files i had to update to keep it working long time ago way during dsi firmware updates. But that never held true up till now for the ones i got.

By the way, shoptemp is related to this site right?
