Hacking Longer boot times after 11.3 update

I'm confused because even when brand new & pre-modded, my 3DS never booted "almost instantly". But is 7 seconds that bad? Your 2DS boots in the time it takes to read the first sentence of this post, and faster than mine which is roughly 11-12 seconds.

I don't know, maybe it's just my impression, but I would have sworn it used to be faster. I might be mistaken, I guess.

I did previously format the same SD with guiformat, but I kept the cluster size to 32kb, as some people have reported issues with 64kb.

I've had my SD cluster size at 64kb since the Menuhax days, I've never had issues. It's pretty safe actually, if you have issues, all you have to do is re-format...

I used my o3DS again recently after a long time of using the n3DS. And damn it felt slow to load. Did you also use an n3DS recently?

I wouldn't use EmuNAND9. I would instead use GUIFormat or Panasonic Formatter because they have an option to increase the cluster size of the SD (it makes it run faster).

I've actually heard a lot of issues using 64KB cluster. In fact my old3DS wouldn't even boot when I used 64KB.
I always suggest using emuNAND9 because I know it's going to format it properly.

I never realized so many issues arose from 64kb cluster. It works fine for me....

I couldn't get it to boot on my old3DS nor my 2DS. Maybe it's works better on the New3DS or depends on the brand, quality, so on. Google is showing me hit n' miss results, some reporting black screen upon boot others having no issues. I always suggest playing it safe with something like this.

My tests can't speak for everyone with every case. Even Google is heavily divided on this one.

That's good information to know though, thank you for sharing. I'll recommend formatting with EmuNAND9 from now on...

I noticed that sometimes, hourlies have longer boot times than the stable versions. Would you mind trying to boot a stable version of Luma?
