Disable your firewall, this must work.

pretty sure its just an issue with chrome, firefox downloaded it just fine and now other detection from windows defender or malware bytes, so probably just chrome is hijacked or chrome is just being a ram hungry joke like normal lol. but posted just incase there were other chrome users on here that were having a similar issue.

so pretty sure its safe to assume chrome is shit now. keeps telling me all loadiine_gx2_xxxxx.zip are malicious and virus detected even microsoft security essentials is saying it.... firefox got it down and no other warnings.... is chrome just infected?
You could argue that a WiiU exploit isn't dangerous, but if you don't want Chrome to be cautious, go to Settings, Advanced, Privacy. Untick "Protect you and your device from dangerous sites". Leave the Settings tab open. Download the file. Then retick the option.

we would need some memory address information.

Some of them are easy to get from a user, running this tool : https://gbatemp.net/threads/loadiine-gx2.413823/page-181#post-6331866
but also some other addresses you can get only by decompiling some firmware files with IDA pro. I don't even know how to do it myself, but some users could do it for you I guess.

I don't remember which information are missing in the current version, maybe devs already have the memory addresses you can get using the link I posted.
I think you can still report them, and someone will check the values with the current sources.

thx will do so sire :)
mehh IDA is not a problem. ^^

Great :)

So here is the additional information required to get other version working.
This is copy/paste from a message I posted in the old loadiine v4 thread.

I suppose some addresses are already known (for example kernel's Dbat?) as homebrew launcher is working on 3.1.0

Note for users on WiiU version other than 5.3.2 :
If you want loadiine to support your version, You will have to provide some addresses from your kernel.
Not everybody will be able to help as it requires specific knowledge, but I know some users have the needed level.

I'll list the function name, and the address used by 5.3.2
We needs the corresponding addresses for the same function but for your version.

Memory right (BAT, SR, etc.) : 0xFFF1D638 on 5.3.2 Kernel
prepare title function : 0xFFF18558 in Kernel too

Then these function addresses in coreinit.rpl and loader.elf
ADDRESS_OSTitle_main_entry_ptr 0x1005d180
ADDRESS_main_entry_hook 0x0101c55c
ADDRESS_LiWaitOneChunk 0x010007EC
ADDRESS_LiWaitIopComplete 0x0100FFA4
ADDRESS_LiWaitIopCompleteWithInterrupts 0x0100FE90

I'm having trouble playing games.. Loadiine reads all the games I've put in, selected SSB and Mii Maker, but when I launch them, Mii Maker goes to Homebrew menu and SSB loads Smash instead. Details: Wii U is 5.5.1. the games are: Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Mario Kart 8, Star Fox Zero, and New Super Mario Bros. U. I've tried Mii Maker and SSB connections on all games, none work.

I tried to download that loadiine gx stuff and the homebrew launcher
The loadiine thing said (in English) : "Error - Virus detected" , so I tried to download homebrew.
And a half minute after I downloaded Homebrew, my computer said: "virus detected: TroyanWin32/..."
So I looked in my Windows defender history (watch image)

In English :
Catogorie : Trojan Horse
Danger level : serious
Description : This program is dangerous and executes commands from a malicious user.
Recommended action: immediately remove it.

I think it was the homebrew stuff

(sorry for my bad English I have translated some things with google translate)

its a false positive, turn off windows defender/antivirus

I still have the files (homebrew._launcher.elf, icon and meta), but the troyan horse is gone.
I think my chrome is hacked or the github page.
But I can't download loadiine.
thanks for the reaction, but I'm not going to turn off my windows defender.
(it was a trojan horse with the name TrojanWin32)
sorry for all the "but" 's

It's not hacked. It's just crappy windows defender giving a false positive.

use the homebrew browser to get loadiine directly to your wiiu.

go to http://wiiubru.com/go/
it will launch homebrew browser app store. from here you can install the homebrew launcher and loadiineGX2.
no more worry about chrome or antivirus.

Maybe I could add that to the first post.

Is there any way to set up multiple game paths and switch between them? I see the option, but when I click on it nothing happens. I got some 500+ VC injects, and would like to have separate paths to cut down on loading time.

But Chrome is still saying loadiine has a virus

@ivonov2002 well it is a virus for the WiiU because it's an exploit but completely harmless to both your computer and WiiU..not all viruses are bad..we need more of it now more than ever.. ;)

PS: Loadiine and related files are not windows executable files like having .exe for one as extension so it's completely fine..if you are still worried about it, go for what @Cyan told you, launch directly on WiiU, problem solved.

@TheCyberQuake "you could argue, but..." is the same as saying "Although you could argue, you are better served by...". I didn't mean to take it up with Google. I think it's fine that Chrome is telling you that something is up. I just wish there was an option on the notification that says 'Download anyway'

If you could that would be good thanks cyan.

There are a few problems here:
  • As you noted, the game path button isn't hooked up.

  • The gamepath entry in the config file works, but if you can't change it on the fly, you've only got one directory. (MasQchip's fork allows subfolders, but appears to aggregate them.)

  • The config file location/name is somewhat hardcoded, so even if you have multiple copies of loadiine on your SD, they'll all look at the same config file (sd:/wiiu/apps/loadiine_gx2/loadiine_gx2.cfg), so they all list the same games. I don't know why loadiine can't tell where it's running from and use the config file in that directory. Maybe the WiiU simply doesn't have something like argv[0] that would tell where the elf came from.
Taking all that into consideration, if you aren't up for rewriting/compiling the code, you'd have to kluge things. For PoC, I just copied the elf and hex edited it to replace all loadiine_gx2 with loadiine_gxa (and _gxb, _gxc - keep the same length!) so I ended up with:

sd:/wiiu/apps/loadiine_gx2/loadiine_gx2.elf
sd:/wiiu/apps/loadiine_gxa/loadiine_gxa.elf
sd:/wiiu/apps/loadiine_gxb/loadiine_gxb.elf
sd:/wiiu/apps/loadiine_gxc/loadiine_gxc.elf

...with each directory's config file renamed to match the elf and edited to point to a different game directory.

By selecting the desired elf from HBL (you'd probably want to edit the icons), you get only the games in the directory specified in that elf's config file. Naturally, you have to hit home in loadiine to get back to HBL to choose another game directory, but that doesn't take too long.

If that makes any sense to you, try it out, but keep in mind what kind of rework you have to do when loadiine is updated, and realize that it would be pretty easy to screw up. So, is there "any way" to set up multiple game paths? Yes. Is it a particularly good way? No. Having patience until a dev can code it properly is likely a smarter choice.
