Noobs need to learn vim and/or emacs the hard way. Throw them in and see if they can make their way out.
Vim AND emacs
Though i use more vim than emacs
The command actually do what i said in the description
It create a loop that overflow a variable so it goes up to 255 and back to 0 and again
Then it modulate it and pipe it through aplay which can read raw data as sound
Plus it is not like it is running as root so it couldn't do much and you could launch it without r/w permission it would be the same
