I have a problem with Slax v.6.1.2..
When I have booted Slax and I logged in, I get a message:

Sound server informational message:
Error while initializing the sound driver:
device /dev/dsp can't be opened (No such file or directory)
The sound server will continue, using the null output device.

Because of this, I can't play sound.


I know this is a common problem, and you can find many solutions with Google, but I don't really understand what they say. I hoped someone at GBAtemp could give me (and maybe other users) an easy solution for this problem.

The error means that the driver doesn't exist. Try installing this one and This one.
(This library is also very useful)
