Is this method still a headache to use to this day?

So, I kind of in the same boat as OP for wanting to play Monster Rancher on a Switch that runs on Atmosphere. Apparently, the game requires that the console itself be linked to a Nintendo account.

But I think I read somewhere that the Atmosphere team does not support the method, in the first place.

Its definitely a headache to use compared to something as simple as Linkalho which is linked above.
