I hated XIII, but really loved the gameplay of XIII-2 (Especially the Monster system).

Nevermind just checked, Lightning is only confirmed playable as of now.....fuck that noise. Unless a REALLY nice Collectors Edition comes out, I'll just wait a few weeks for it to hit 30-40$ again lol.

I stopped playing FF at 7 on the PS1... and I considered that game to be far too heavy on the FMV. Nothing like sitting for 2 minutes of video every time you need to cast a spell in a battle. Then grinding levels using said spell.

So much hate? I don't think it is that bad. Again I seem to have repeated this for many times this week.
Don't like it? Don't play it.

FF13 was a nice game but some parts were stretched and the battles become longer if you didn't follow a pattern. ff10 also had that but it was better and easier. This was too much but great graphics nonetheless with a nice storyline.
FF13-2 I have not played yet but seemed a little free though I can't really say.
THIS ONE looks like crisis core to me. Crisis core was a fantastic game hands down. I hope it does reach that level. Can't see anyone fighting besides her.

FF13 was a pain to get thru. I enjoyed some parts. Walking around in the open Gran Pulse and meeting new monsters for the first time then walking into the cave with robot stuff was pretty neat.
Somehow it just felt empty. The dialog felt shallow, I didn't really care for any character as their expressions often-times didn't really match anything living, yet they try to look as such. The chars were just hard to feel for and relate to.
The fighting system was pretty interesting, but swapping back n forth between all cast buffs, all cast debuffs, all cast magic until broken the limit, switch to close combat once reached around 999%.
I think it was a pretty okay battle system and a fresh take really.

FF13-2. Wow, I bought this knowing it would be utter crap. Having played like 3-4 hours, it seems I was right But I'm definatly going to play thru it, it might grow on me!

FF13-3 Lightning re-turds. Will probably get this one once it's in the bargain bin.

Now where is Versus? I was looking forwards to that game sooo much when they announced the people who would be working on it. I still do want it. I love all previous works of Yoko Shimomura, and I doubt Versus soundtrack will be dissapointing... Even if the game won't live up to any expectations, the soundtrack definatly will. It's a must buy for me
