Ew weeb shit
I really suggest people watch Death Note regardless if they are an anime fan or not. Death note is hands down one the smartest and philosophy driven anime that has ever been produced. There's just countless hours worth of debates on the topics the series brings up and so many moral topics that it covers. It actually takes time to make you think about what you are watching over just mindless entertainment.

I was on lights side at first, but once it became clear that he would sacrifice anyone, including his family, I changed my mind. Mostly because it became a game to him. He started off for the greater good, but it became vanity.

The fact that he would sacrifice anyone shows how committed he was to the cause. If he wasn't determined enough to kill his own blood then I would have had no respect for him.
