Heh, thats what I picked too. It seems like the economical decision, and many would pay for the upgrade. As far as Super Card goes, they seem like a respectable company for what they did, as it would end up losing them money in the long run, but for more customer service.

Besides the iTouch 2, DSTTi and possibly R4i clones which will crash and burn. Then again no one is sure if the AK2i even has the ability to update its core. I hope the rest just get a software/core processor update to be able to run again.

The new AK2i (HWID81) has an updateable core. That's how the language fix was done I'm pretty sure. Not sure about the HWID44 one though which doesn't seem to be updateable.

Trust me, you can NEVER comepletely block out a system from hax, especially such vulnerable ones as the DS, DSi and Wii. There will ALWAYS be a new exploit. Look at Nintendos supposed "unhackable" sysmenu 4.0. Bannerbombed tha bitch.

supercard is one of the oldest company around so i guess what they are doing is just wish to reassure the supporters and with the firmware adapter it also help them to attract new customer

Anyways.... I think the flashcarts will only get stronger..... probably we will only get totally blocked when the next handheld is released. Or the metaforic protection is really potent (unlikely).

I already said this once, it might be a possibility, but this way isn't going to reach every flashcard user, since not everybody is connected to the internet AND if it happens to a few people and they post about it on the internet, they are going to warn everybody to stay away from the internet (untill a fix is found, if their is a fix...). Also it has been a couple of weeks now that nintendo has commented that they are going to use new security to harden pirating games. If you ask me the latest solution is the best (for them) since pirated games; roms , reach the entire flashcard community. In case of the internet people are just going to stay away from the internet and still play their roms offline. And also the ds phat & lite also have internet capabilities, updating firmware and such, so why didn't they ban the last-generation flashcards then? It seems to me that it isn't as simple to ban it through the firmware...

We must not forget that nintendo wifi isn't xbox live, meaning nintendo will never be capable to reach every flashcard out their at the same time, resulting in only a small percentage of the cards being banned.

Nintendo made their point a few weeks ago, they are just gonna make games harder for people to get, other than that, i don't think we should be worried at all about this DSi Flashcard scene.
