Let's be friends!

Gamers have been for long considered as anti-social freaks locked up in their room, glued to their screens, only coming out of that cave to answer the call of nature...

Ahem! Let’s prove this stereotype wrong! We at GBAtemp are a huge community of internet browsers with one thing in common: games. Well, is it the only element in the intersection of our individual Venn diagrams? As part of the same community, why don’t we share what we do as gamers? What are your interests? What are your favorite activities? Which other websites you browse and what for? What TV shows you watch? Which YouTube channel you subscribe to and await impatiently for their new videos? I’ll leave that and other ideas you want to share to you in the comment section!

I’ve realised that too often we lock ourselves up in what we call boring routine. You might relate to: School/college/uni has already started and the work load is piling up. Another day at work and the traffic’s not getting any better. Nothing to make your daily activities more enjoyable, more lively? What usually relieves us from said routine might be out of reach or too time consuming or worst even, has become redundant. Most of the time it’s due to lack of ideas or lack of new stimulation that we don’t find anything that interests us. But if we get to know more people, talk and share ideas with them, we might discover new interests and finally get out of the monotonous routine.

As it turns out, here’s a platform to share your favorite hobby/habits/stress-reliever with and help fellow gamers, who might be in need of these! As the adage goes, sharing is caring. And friends care for each other :)

Interesting hobby you got there @HaloEffect17! As for P.A Works, I've never tried any of their anime. Any good recommendations?
Thanks, @Prans! The latest P.A. Works anime, Charlotte, just concluded on Saturday. However, if you haven't watched Angel Beats!, you have to give that a watch; highly recommend it. It's comedic, has machine guns, bit of slice of life, and has some emotional scenes as well. ;)

Here's a list of P.A. Works anime: haven't got to checking them all out, though.

Nice! When you are done and if you want it, you can share your series, I'll try to get them featured.

Thanks! I'd like that. I'd have to publish it first, but I already filed for a ©.

Here's some artwork of some of the characters I drew up on that limited-function Wii U Art Academy app. Mind the low quality, I was just testing out the features with these drawings:

What kind of stuff do you draw Prans?

Hi!
Since I joined the temp I never had a proper presentation so I'll do it now.

My interests?? Computers, gaming, anime, manga, science, lolis, hentai, cats, sleep and from time to time porn.
My daily life I spend it between work and gaming/anime. Once I come home I play something or watch anime. Is safe to assume that I do 2 hours minimum of gaming daily.
I can play many things at a time, I pick around 3 games to play until I finish them. One of them RPG. I have more games than I'm able to play so I'm almost forced to do this in order to empty my backlog.
I'm currently playing God Eater Burst, GTA San Andreas and Omega Quintet with some little intervention of Pokemon Red/Blue (glitch run on a EMS GB Smart card 64M, so a merged cartridge) right now. And of couse I can also deviate to play some Splatoon, Smash, Borderlands or Touhou.
A series of games I can pick any moment is Touhou. I'm currently struggling to pass Ten Desires on normal difficulty. My goal is to unlock the extra stage and say hi (and only say hi. I don't think I could do more than that) to Mamizou.
My absolute favorite character (AKA waifu) is Marisa Kirisame (see my current avatar. But don't touch her. She is mine).

My watch list is almost entirely composed of anime. Only exceptions are House, Heroes, NCIS and Largo Winch.
My farorite anime of all time is Digimon, specially season 1 and 3.
My favorite genres are mystery, romantic comedy, lolicon and good shonen (Fullmetal Alchemist tier). My main reason to pick an anime is if it has lolis or not.
This season I was watching Gakkou Gurashi, Ranpo Kitan and God Eater. In the past seasons I watched Captain Earth, Amagi Brilliant Park, The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki, Gochiusa and Danmachi.
I have more anime stored that I'm able to watch so if I ever get jobless I can entertain myself playing games and watching anime for a long time.
I Haven't read a lot of manga but my favorite so far is Gunslinger Girl.

Music, well I'm very picky about what I listen. My favorite band of all time is definitely Foreground Eclipse. My favorite album is his first one Missing, Loving and Suffering. Aside of them I also listen to Sally, another Japanese Touhou circle. New Sadomasochism is my favorite album of them.
Other things I listen are JPop, anime op/ed and Game OSTs specially of Touhou games. Gorillaz is one of the few non-japanese group I really like.

Other hobbies?? I don't know. Pet my cat, eat sweets and sleep.
I don't have a facebook (I had one but closed it) or other social media stuff aside of Google hangouts. I don't like parties and those kind of stuff but I do go to otaku events from time to time (I stay mostly in the gaming section anyway). I also don't drink and when I do is only on special occasions.
But I'm not socially inept. I like to talk but in person or phone.

@Cyan I've adopted that attitude towards games as well, better finish one then go on to another one. Also, Attack on Titan got me wanting for so much more after the first season that I started reading the manga. What I can say is that it gets more and more intriguing.

@Red3agle woah, you're enrolled in an online school!? Amazing! You already made the leap into the future! I might recommend edx if you want more online education :)

@FAST6191 cool! PM me when you do!

@RustInPeace about your movie preferences... I have a friend who you might have a nice chat with if you met him...

Thanks for the recommendation @HaloEffect17! I'll give Angel Beats! a go after I'm done with Gotham.

Nice skills you've got there @kehkou! PM me when you publish it! I draw mostly manga and video game characters, not too good (not tried) modern stuffs. I use pencil/pen and paper. I'm a simple man.

Nice intro @Sakitoshi! Good to have you around! If you want a manga recommendation, I'd tell you to go for Akira. Timeless classic!

Thanks! I'm not too good with pen myself, I tend to erase more than draw. My medium of choice is a 2b/hb pencil and college-ruled notepaper.

My wife likes to draw manga and game characters too. If you got any scans of your work, you should post a couple up.

Great, awesome! :D Yeah, Angel Beats! was the very first anime I watched to its entirety. A friend of mine, who watches a slew of anime in his free time, recommended it to me. Angel Beats! was definitely the series which got me into anime and I've been watching anime ever since because of it. ;) It's a very good looking anime aesthetically, especially for it being released in 2010, as P.A. Works is known for its visually appealing animation.
