Homebrew Legit Cain smash 3ds problem

I can't go into smash or group because it crashes. I'm using a o3ds USA 3ds 11.0 through Hans.

User error. You won't brick if you follow the directions exactly.

Ok no bricks. What about soft bricks? Every time I've tried downgrading there's been a soft brick.

if you just follow this 3ds.guide there is little to no risk of bricking. Actually you could update to latest version and then do what the guide says and you'd be fine.
Regarding the save you could just use JKSM's save tool to back it up and then import it to the USA version of the game.

Like you normally delete 3DS titles: in System Settings->Data Management->Nintendo 3DS.
