hello:

well first of all a would not recommend that method because you can damage your lent, i also try it whit my wii and it did not work ,but if you insist on doing it you have to remove the metallic cap from picture 2, you need to remove it in norther to see the lent from its top, its real easy.what you mark on the first pic is not the lent.

i try it to play an original copy of ssbb but still, its not playable it dos not even load.

good luck,hope it helps

Cleaned up, and works like a charm

For other people reading this thread.
I would recommend the Wii DVD Drive cleaning kit.
Should set you back a bout $8, lot less risky for the inexperienced.

Yep for the inexperienced its fine. But use a good cleaner. I read lots of negative stuff about it. And cleaning the lens isn't that hard. I'vve never saw a lens before and this was the first time i opened a Wii. But i do have a little pc building experience, but also just little. So if you follow some good tutorial like this : http://www.metacafe.com/watch/449009/open_...ays_mii_proper/ then you are almost at the lens. But do it at your own risk !! and yes it voids waranty.
