Hacking l and r buttons

i just tried raw vs smackdown for the ds and its surprisingly awsome

to bad I can't play it because my l and r buttons don't work and it says you need to strong grapple and press l to perform a finishing move.

this is my second ds and i got rid of the last one for this same problem with the l and r butons not working


I just looked up youtube and a kid says to blow in the l and r button and tap it to fix them

which worked for the r button and slightly on the l button
I test it out with comic book ds and the r button works perfectly now but the l button only worked 3 times and I had to press really hard

hmmm I wonder if i took the ds apart could i fit screen protectors under the l and r buttons to keep from getting lint in them hmmmmmmm

for now when i hold it in my pocket I'll put it in a sandwhich bag

hmmm or buy screen protectors and cut them and stick them over the buttons to protect them I think i'll test that out

what do you guys think?

any way to bett fix the L button?

Well,if blowing didn't work,you could always get a new case for your DS.

I find that getting a piece of paper and putting it under the L or R button and moving around helps a bit,but not always.

blow into it, shake it, and it should work.
happens with mine too, but this usually solves it.

blowing won't help the l button

I found the disassembling your ds thread so i think i'll open it up and take out the l button and clean it that way

Or replace it. the left is the one that gets the most hammer. Cheap to get replacements from Dealextreme.com

i would say semi take it apart and clean/fix

I'll check out deal xtreme but i was figuring it looked like I just need to undo the back of it

and pull the button out

but I guess I'll find out once i track down one of those glasses screw drivers
at walmart today
