The option to format is in data management. N3DS users who can't downgrade need to format their system first. Read up how to back up your save files then format. It will fix your issue.
Ahh right. Thanks, but I use the old 3ds :P Good to know for when I do get a N3ds, though. What stuff should I try for O3ds? I have Menuhax and Ironhax btw

what do you mean stuck?
i think you can format sysnand with out going on line or updating to 10.4
What I mean is if you soft brick the only way to revive your 3DS is to update to 10.4 which will mean you lose all ability to downgrade and hack

ive formatted my systemnand changed to a new 4gb card with just the bare essentials and still no go. so dont waste your time telling ppl to format their system and thatll fix all their problems cos it doesnt....

oh so if you softbrick the only way to fix it is with an OTA fw download ,that sucks

I'm gonna be honest, I've been way skeptical of KTM since the beginning.
Even if it DID come out for real (which, who knows, really), I'm sure most of us remember how KTM downgrade packages were reported to brick consoles time and time again.
When you've got that kind of first impression, it's hard to be able to trust the program in question.
That, and the initial rush of people using TuxSH's unstable build causing BrickFest 2016 started leading people astray and figuring that sysUpdater is dangerous, when Steveice10/Julian20's builds are mostly safe.
Here's a tip: If you're gonna do it, use this, and don't hold your breath for KTM.

If you semi brick... And 10.4 is out? Recovery mode will take you there.
i think GW will find a solution to this, hopefully, SOON

they said they are working on 10.3 so i assume they mean they are working on their own reliable downgrade method more than they are working on getting native 10.3 GW support to work, they will have to solve this if they want new customers
hopefully GW will have their own downgrade solution ,SOON
and it will be able to recover softbricks from a cart update or some other way
maybe it will be an open solution or maybe it will require the red card ,either way it would be better than what we have now

You are putting WAY too much faith in that team.

when have they ever let us down before?
they have over delivered if anything and the other devs are selling them their work or being paid as consultants i am sure of it
if anything is going to come it will be from GW they have never promised anything they have not delivered on,and then some
the senece devs work through them behind the scenes too

I don't think they are going to make that mistake again. If they give the ability to downgrade then users will use the launcher.dat to downgrade and then use cfw for free. If they do implement a downgrade option it would be a smart move for them to implement the gateway red card check to it like they did to launch gatewaymode.

They only help those who give them money. :) Not to mention the time it takes for them to ever release ANYTHING. I had a Gateway card, but it became too inconvenient with having to swap the damn cartridges to launch it. Yeah, nowadays you boot straight to the menu.. but why would I want that when I can boot straight to RX emunand.. I'm not going to buy another card to downgrade a 3DS.. that's fucked.
