What is your opinion of the Dragon Quest series? I've never really played them to be honest. I've got the latest DS on on the flashcart but haven't had a chance to play it yet. It looks pretty good though.
What was your first video game? First arcade game I ever played was Donkey Kong. Still love it to this day. First home video game I played was Beach Head on the C64, got it on a disk from a mate along with Summer Games.

Which books have you read lately and can you name 3 authors you've read that you particularly liked? Recently I've re-read Animal Farm, A Clockwork Orange and The Communist Manifesto. In the last year I've also read Propaganda - Edward Burnay, The Shock Doctrine - Naomi Klein, Mister B Gone - James Herbert, The Qu'ran - Mohammed and Emotions Revealed - Paul Ekman. Three of my favourite authors are Stephen King, James Herbert and George Orwell.

We have lost our collective morals and our passion for community, and it's only getting worse. I think Thatcher, Major, Blair and Brown have set us on a path of self destruction which will end in the BNP taking power after rioting and attempted civil war. The EDL/MDL are a perfect example of the way our society is going unfortunately.
Should Wales devolve as Scotland has? It doesn't have the industry, wealth or power to do that unfortunately. Where I live there is near enough 20% unemployment. I'd like to to see it devolve, but I don't see it being a reality for a very long time.
If you could speak one other language what would it be? That's a very good question. It's not something I've ever actually thought about. I'll go with Mandarin.

Pros and Cons of the coalition? I'm finding it hard to think of any Pros at the moment. Clegg is too reluctant to wield the obvious power that he has and is too quick to concede to the Tories. I know there has to be some give and take in the situation from him, but he seems to have dropped some of his major ethics and goals in trade for achieving some of his minor ones. What did you think of the Labour leadership contest and what do you think of the victor? I've paid very little attention to it to be honest. In all honesty I was hoping for Diane Abbot, as she seemed to be the one speaking from her heart and wanting Labour to go back in the direction of socialism. Milliband just reminds me of Blair with a different haircut. Although not that any of it really matters as the strings will still be pulled by Mandelson.

How od we cut the defecit? There is nothing we can really do to cut it quickly unfortunately, it's going to be a long slow process. First, and I know this one sounds harsh, but I would cut the intake of migrant workers. As much as I hate the BNP I do believe in the British jobs for British workers ethics. I know migrant workers are still paying taxes and adding to the economy but it's really a false prop and offers no real long term solution. As much as people hate to admit a high percentage of them are sending money back to their home country and leaving with a sizable amount of savings. I know it doesn't sound like much but it is millions of pounds being diverted away from our economy annually.

I'd also put alot more emphasis on education. While this would take years to actually have an effect, without skilled and educated workers for the future we really are on a downhill slope. I'd also decriminalise various recreational drugs and introduce a licensing system similar to the alcohol system. I know from experience that millions upon millions leave this country headed towards drug cartels in other countries. The taxes gained from decriminalisation along with the fact that the money now stays in our economy would be a sizable boost.

I would also cease non-vital NHS treatment for non-citizens/non-residents of the country, along with non-essential operations for both citizens/residents and migrants. No more stomach stapling type stuff free of charge for people. This would stop things like Americans coming over here to give birth simply because the cost of airfare to here is cheaper than the hospital charges that come from having the child in their own country. I have no problems with people coming here for vital treatment that can't be afforded in their own country or that their own country can't do, that's a different story altogether.

I would increase taxes for non-citizens and migrant workers as well. This would just be a temporary measure while the economy re-stabilises, and I know it sounds unfair but I believe it's a necessary step. Why should citizens/residents suffer for non-citizens/non-residents. I'm a firm believer that a governments duty is to look after it's people first.

I would also raise taxes. I know people would kick up a fuss and alot of people would be against it, but I compare a country to a house. If your house has a hole in the roof you spend the money on fixing it, if your car needs repairs you pay for it. Your country is the same as your house. I would also place emphasis on increased taxes for multi-nationals. If you want the right to earn money from our people then you should also pay for the privilege.

I would re-nationalise some of our services as well. While the philosophy of the free market is a good one, I don't see why a government shouldn't be allowed to own services and earn money from them. Thatcher selling them all off may have given us temporary boost in the economy but we're paying for it now. While I believe in the ideals of the free market usually the people end up getting shafted in the name of profits.

I would also use prisoners as free labour for various things.

For a temporary amount of time I would also stop the translation services that our government offers for things like social security, government pamphlets etc. I have no problems with offering English classes to those who immigrate here, but as English is the collective bonding language of our country and culture then that's all that is necessary on standard government documents. If an individual company or what have you wants to spend their own money on these services that's all well and good, but our government shouldn't have to.

There's alot more obviously, but the reply's already getting long enough! lol Those are some of the long and short range things I would do though.

When you hear Clegg and Cameron talk about fairness, do you like me think "bullshit?" I do to be honest. I get the same feeling from Cameron as I did from both Thatcher and Blair and as I do get from Obama. We need to stop with the copying of American style politics where the nicest suit, brightest smile and "hippest" lingo counts for more than policy.

Hey! There's a good question!! What would your ideal spacecraft be? I'd always been partial to both the TIE Fighter and the Cylon ships from the original Battlestar Galactica so it would be a kind of cross between the two. Heavily armed, light and extremely maneuverable.
