I have never got the money from rebates sent to me. Evar, in my life.

So I just avoid products that have mail-in rebates.

Agreed, mail-in rebates are CRAP.

I sent off my mail-in for the 5 free blu-ray movies over 3 months ago, never got anything.

Mail in rebates work if you do them properly. Make copies of all the paperwork so that if you need to call them you have 2 things...


1) The phone number to call to get status information
2) The proof that you sent in everything


I havn't had one rebate that I didn't get the money for it. I even had one that I probably shouldn't of gotten because I'm pretty sure that they received it after the date the rebate had to arrive by.

EDIT: I should add that I usually do avoid rebates where it can be helped. I only usually do rebates when I can trust the place I'm submitting it to otherwise I keep track of when I sent it, how long it was supposed to take, and so forth. Staples is the only place I will trust with rebates since you can submit it electronically. Online tracking is great.

Rebates suck. Give me the product for a reduced price or not. Don't make me jump through a bunch of pointless hoops.
