I'm at a loss. I got a key-clip to install in my friend's Wii and can't program the thing for the life of me. I've tried every possible way to get the thing to work with the WesTek's autoprogrammer. I've wiggled the thing back and forth for hours and can't get anything. Sometimes, I'll go in device manager, and right click the port and "check for hardware changed" or something like that and the LED on the programmer will turn on. It'll blink every time I send a signal to it from command prompt but it never says it worked properly. I always get
avrdude: AVR device not responding
avrdude: initialization failed, rc=-1
blah blah blah.
What are peoples' exact settings in their BIOS and device manager? I have ECP/EPP set for sure. Should I have "Enable legacy Plug and Play detection" checked in device manager?
Thanks
