Hi there! If you don't recognize my name, I spearheaded the retranslation efforts for .hack//fragment with a few of my friends c:

My current project is Keroro RPG, this is likely set to only be a story translation as i can't find the menu files just yet and there's no telling whether or not they're images, which i do not have the skills to change.

I hope to give you all updates soon c:

It's awesome to see that the keroro tales game is being translated. Is there any progress on how the translation is going?

Good work, any updates on this project?

Yes actually! loneZ and I are working on the project together, We've been searching for several files connected to some text, Lonez is working on the ui whilst i translate town names and other text.
At the moment the intro cutscene and the first few dialogue boxes are done, as well as some ui elements, town names, about half of the dungeon names, and a few item names and descriptions.

We have an update! We've currently translated all the character names, most of the town and overworld names, the opening movie, and are currently working through hints, items, menus, and more of the story! at the moment I can't give a rough outline of when this will be available, I'm working on this as I find the time.

One more update! the first room is done, this includes the first two skits you can come across! I'm working on the third skit and more story now c:

Back with a new update after over a month, wow! I've finally completed the Hinata's house! There is a single line I can't seem to find, which makes the think it's located elsewhere, regardless, the majority is done save for that one line. I've been working recently so sorry for the lack of updates!

I will die for this translation. If you need testers, I'm not the best at RPGs but I have the free time (though due to my R4 not working I'd be emulating on a Steam Deck). Plus having more eyes on the project may help you spot those missing lines.

Thanks for the update. I just came across this project, and it reminded me of how my college buddies and I used to watch the Funimation dub. I don't think we got through many episodes, but I remember liking the humor. The waning days of Funimation, but still some good memories.

I recall there was also a PS2 game, but I'm not sure if there were more games than that. I do know that the anime went on for more than three seasons, but only those first three were dubbed.

Kudos to loneZ and yourself. I wish you both luck on the project.

This is another project that really gets me interested. Hopefully this one will come into fruition 🙏🏼
Thank you for your interest! Slowly but surely it'll be realized, it's a learning experience for me as I translate.

It's strange, Funimation dropped Sgt. Frog pretty quickly, so I figured viewership was low, but I still see Sgt. Frog fans and references pop up here and there. So, it's definitely not a forgotten property.

I did some quick research and according to GiantBomb, there were 6 DS games, 2 PS2 games, and 1 GBA game. For the anime, it went from 2004-2011 and had 358 episodes.

The first public release of the Keroro RPG translation is now available! You'll need a clean copy of the game and xdelta to patch it!
Details are on the release page, keep in mind this release uses the most recent version I've edited, there may be crashes, bugs, etc. There will definitely be huge chunks of untranslated text. This is mostly for bug testing purposes so feel free to ping me if you find anything off c: It should work on both emulators and real hardware

Tada!!! If you guys find anything definitely let me know c: I'll be checking my email often for new posts

So it turns out there's a bug on actual hardware with this release, no clue what's causing it 🙃

Figured out the issue, this is the latest release, you want to patch a clean, untranslated copy of the game. the last patch made the game smaller for some reason, the size of this new one should be identical to an untranslated game

Little bit of an update. No huge progress on the update has been made recently, but it isn't abandoned I promise. I recently became employed again so I've been focusing on that for now, life things and all that jazz, I'm hoping to work on the translation bit by bit when i have the free time to do so, I can't devote large portions of time to it anymore like i could at the start :c

On the bright side I found how to change the descriptions for the menu, so that's neat c: I'm much more active on RGT than I am here but wanted to put this update here so that ya'll don't think i've abandoned the project.

Looks good, maybe it needs a proper VWF like in some of AGT Team's DS translations. You could make text fit even better that way.

Little bit of an update (and a call for help):

I’ve been slowly working on menu translations to get most of the important ones done but have run into a snag. Currently i use Kuriimu2 for decompressing and recompressing some data files, unfortunately, every time i make changes to the files and compress them, the file slowly gets larger. This has introduced a problem where I can no longer translate menus without crashing the game as a result. Right now it’s me and one other person working on the translation, with some outside help from the Tales of Innocence fan translation team. if you know of an alternative program for compression or a way to ensure the file sizes don’t bloat too much, please feel free to contact me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
