backup your cleanest nand; after, you can do what ever you want.

You don't need a CFW to run legit CIAs.
But if you want one, you should try Luma3DS.

When you finish setting up A9LH (I'm guessing you're setting that up), I'd say switch to Luma3DS, since it has all the fancy goodies (region free stuff and what-not) with the CFW I believe.

Don't think he has but I should recommend op stop where you are on follow plialects guide for a9lh

If you think you'll be happy right now, get your sd card set for EmuNand (With Emunand9) and install Luma.

Although I truly recommend you follow https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-3-(RedNAND) up to Part 5 to install a9lh. (and make sure to follow the steps
thoroughly and carefully)

in order to patch the version string, you have to enable the option in luma3ds option menu.
