The Japanese eshop is offering full 3DS games for download now (Mario Kart 7, Mario 3D, and the upcoming Gyakuten Saiban/Professor Layton are among them). I haven't actually downloaded any, but I'm very curious to see how it works (how much space it would take up on the SD card, etc...) I was wondering if this is being offered in other countries yet.

I'm putting this here because it seems to me (though I am not too knowledgeable about hacking and whatnot) that something like this would make it easier for hackers to find some sort of loophole/exploit to use.

Same in America too, the games are the same price as the carts, except of Epic Mickey, its $10 cheeper. And No, this will probably not lead to some hacking revelation, as we do not have the keys to decrypt and encrypt 3ds downloads (as far as I know correct me if I am wrong)

Again with the Eshop exploits?I understand you don't have enough knowledge on this topic, but all you people are doing is causing Misconception in this Forum, you people will be informed of a possible hack as soon as it is available.

Retail games on eshop are no different than regular eshop titles. Plus eshop titles and saves are protected by keys, so they're not exploitable at the moment.
