So I've decided on the Supercard DSTWO for my 3DS (updated to the latest version thanks to Pokemon X). Sometimes when browsing forums i see people talking about using a DSi to flash the card or to make it able to be used on other devices... I shouldn't need to do that on the 3DS right?

If the card works you don't have to do anything.
The flashing is only necessary to make it work with the latest firmware update from nintendo.
