Hacking jtag xbox360 xell issue

Howdy
I just acquired a jtagged xenon xbox. It was cheap because there were some hardware issues, but I solved all of those and am learning all the awesome things I can do with it. I've hit a wall though, the dash is so old that it won't read my usb drive, and I know in order to update the dash, I need my CPU key.

Dash Launch lists the CPU key as a bunch of "0's" and when I try Xell Launch it kicks me back to the dash. Powering the xbox on with the eject key, the box will turn on but nothing will appear on my TV.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

That's.... odd..
Remove the HDD and clear the SMC (leaving it unplugged for 10 minutes)

Then reboot using the eject button.
If XeLL refuses to come up then you might have a corrupt XeLL installation or you might have to check your JTAG wires.

Thanks for the response. The jtag wires seem to be intact, and clearing it didn't do the trick. What are my options with a corrupt Xell install? Keeping in mind that the whole reason I'm going through this is to obtain my CPU Key lol

You could hook it up to a NAND dumper and make a dump of the NAND.
Then inject a new XeLL by "rehacking" it.

I was able to make a nand dump by using Flash360, will this suffice?

By "rehack" I mean hack the NAND again ;p

Like you would hack a virgin console (except you already have the JTAG wires in place.
