ROM Hack JP Mii Maker on US 3DS?

I get an error when I do the CN exploit
The other exploits don't work either

what error? try deleting the save game, and reinstall the exploit, of course have the files you need on the sd card too.
search for some guides.

I've had similar problems with CN on a JP oXL. Never did figure it out.
It ended up not mattering since I already had CFW. I'm pretty sure I got

If you really want to go down the *hax route just for a save/shared extdata extractor

you need CFLDB.dat so...
Shared ExtData -> F000000B -> Export Data -> Name doesn't matter.
It will extract F000000B to your SD under /JKSV/Shared/F000000B/Name
At that point you can put your SD in your computer and open the Mii modifier.

ah, wait, you need to make a dummy mii your personal mii first if you plan on doing this to your personal mii.
I forgot the program's only use for personal Miis is to give them gold pants.

so set a dummy mii to your personal mii, so that you have the dummy-personal and your normal one in the mii maker.
THEN do the JKSM stuff,
then the mii modifier, here you can change your non-perosnal mii's names. Don't change creator or you wont be able to make it your personal mii again.
Apply and save.
Assuming you just edited the copy on your SD card, you can then put it back in your 3ds and start JKSM, get to the F000000B screen and import instead of export.
Change the Mii back to your personal mii if all went well.
and that should be it.

How can you switch personal mii? I don't believe 3DS allows that

Hm, it appears you're right if you have it associated with your NNID.
I even tried hex editing a kana name in, just reverted to what it was before.
Balls.

if you understand Japanese download stirling hex editor and change character set to unicode. then you know what should you do.

Hi Everyone, sorry for the late reply. I did this mainly to get my Wii U mii to JPN, not really my 3DS mii, so my problem is solved(The Wii U mii is in JPN ) Thanks Everyone, for the help.

From experiences with my dirty region swapped n3ds, short answer: you cannot run system cias from a different region, they result in a crash if they appear on your home screen (you have to press power then home after launching freemultipatcher for them to appear) but fbi might be able to launch them.

They all run perfectly fine for me, though.
American to Japanese, I have dual system apps and they all play fine.
