I was gonna post some bugs, but there's quite a few and I know you're aware and working you're way through them.

Afaik about the channels loading, if you use the normal or 222 dol on real nand it can load the channels from real nand (it works
biggrin.gif
), as for channels on the uneek emu nand?(I couldn't test)?
If you use the uneek.dol then it loads the channels on the uneek emu nand?(I couldn't test)? and the real nand, does work but depends on IOS used
biggrin.gif
.

The prints to the screen don't match up though EG
Start normal dol, press > to select channels, press A, I have 2 choices, 1-SD/SDHC Card, 2-USB Mass Storage Device. SD crashes, and USB = real nand.

So maybe change the text that says USB... to NAND. This is the same in the uneek dol. So USB = REAL NAND.

Loading channels work though

I also loaded the uneek.dol without uneek, selected wanin cios249r17 and loaded a few homebrew channels on the real nand with no issues. However some other cIOS (hermes and some over wanin revs) I used wouldn't work.

Also Where you can select a diff IOS change "Press 2 to reload IOS" to "Press 2 or X to reload IOS" and "Press HOME to reset" to "Press HOME or START to reset"
To remind stoopid people like myself what the gc pad buttons are (START = exits,

soz scooby for the mess of this post.... I will tidy it up or sumin

I got to try it out. I'd say the most prevalent bug is that it crashes if you select the channels in anything but console mode. Once that (and the correct settings slimmmmm mentions) are taken care off, things seem to work. Haven't checked that much, though.

Also: on Uneek, it had to reinitialise my hard drive 3 times before it started. Not sure if this was because of all the auto-booting I'm doing (priiloader forwarder into postloader into joyloader...I'm going through a lot of hoops to make things easy on me
wink.gif
). I'll try it later with 'normally' going through the HBC.

Don't let this get you down, though. I'm more than glad to see this feature. Mostly on Uneek, but I guess normal CFG users won't mind this feature.

(in fact, I asked about this not too long ago on the CFG thread...it got kinda forgotten).

I checked both the real nand (with the 222-version of the dol) and the uneek+DI one. I have exactly 50 channels on my emu-nand, but not that many discEX games (20 at the moment).

Why? Doesn't it work for you?

Unfortunately, the answer to both those questions is 'mostly no'.

The way uneek works is that it treats the whole hard drive as one huge-ass NAND. Until now, pretty much all homebrew that works on uneek has to be put on SD card, along with all the data (such as the .wbfs files). I think it's perfectly possible to mod an USB loader work on uneek and use .wbfs files*, but since these has to be put on SD card, it won't become a popular solution compared to the DI module that loads games on the hard drive in discex format.

Overjoy once worked on a custom module that would make uneek+DI read .wbfs files instead of the discex-format. Though this technically worked, it was far from perfect. It caused lots of slowdowns in game, you had to scrub the update partitions from the disc, some games flatout refused to run...all in all, in the end it was more work than it was worth pursuing.

The other way around...erm...depends on what you mean with that. I don't think there's an USB loader that can load games in discex format on the real nand (though I have to admit never even having tried to run joyloader or joyflow on real nand). But triiforce and mighty channels do load wiiware and VC from an emulated nand, so in that regard it IS possible.

*important note: this is pure speculation: scooby is in a much better position to tell about this.

I found this forwarder (http://forwarder.fo.funpic.de/USBLoaderCFG%20-%20UCXF%20-%20IOS58%20v8.wad) seems working correctly with joyloader_cfg though itself is not working yet. Found it from http://gwht.wikidot.com/forwarder. Thanks scooby
