Hardware Joycons on linux/PC?

Apparently the joycons work as is with mac, so how long do you think it will take for linux and windows 10 to support them (or will they at launch)? I really want to try playing melee via dolphin with these.
 
Basically that means the controllers support direct input (possibly xinput but doubtful) right out of the box which means you should be able to use them right away provided you have some way of connecting the controllers (BT or USB). The DS4 did the same exact thing.

However most games now a days only support xinput so you'll need to use something like x360ce, xpadder, or even install third party drivers (like DS4 Windows) to work with those games.

does mac\apple supports Xinput? i didn't thought it had because it's a microsoft thing and you know, mac ain't for gaemz
but heh, nowadays things are not so restricted like before..
