You never know. Unless you happen to hail from the year 2025 and travelled back to the past?

EDIT: 900th post. Yay.

Just like we use probabilities and observance to predict whether, we can use the same methods to predict the fact that nintendo will not support older consoles once they drop them. And the Wii U is basically already dead, BOTW is the last first party game and at this point without an update before switch I'm doubting if they will ever give the console an update at all. And you DEFINITELY won't see anything for the original Wii.

Probabilities and predictions aren't guarantees. Look at Pokemon as an example; for Gen III and IV, they released 2 new games, 1 third "updated" title and 2 remake titles. By then everyone was expecting the same of V, but instead we got Black 2/White 2 and no remakes. (Especially baffling since the indicators like Dive becoming a usable HM again suggested otherwise) Come Gen VI and when ORAS came out, there were thoughts that Pokemon Z would be next. We got a new form of Pokemon Zygarde like expected, there was a special season in the anime called XY&Z... then it just didn't happen at all. Instead we shifted straight to Sun and Moon.

To make it clear, I'm not expecting Nintendo to provide official support of the Joycons being usable on the Wii, and don't mind if that's not the case. That being said, it can't be ruled out until the Switch is released and it's checked.
