.Jar file problem

Me again.

I am trying to open a .jar file but for some reason rather then opening in java it opens as a notepad file.

I am unaware if its a windows error or not.

My os is windows 10 so is that the problem?

Try right clicking the .jar and opening properties.
Does it say its default application is your text editor, or Java?

In the properties right next to the default application should be a button, click on that. In the next window choose Java(TM) Platform SE binary.
