Hacking iTouch DS Not reading SD card

Hi I just got my iTouch DS today and it is completely failing.
I formatted my MicroSD to FAT32 and dumped the new firmware, 2.3d or whatever on it and got a "No SD card detected" error.
I tried old firmwares, other MicroSD's, and NOTHING has solved my problem.
Can someone PLEASE help me?
